Hunter born in 1939 started as musician in the early 60s with skiffle bands and joined Beat Band the SCENERY
around 1966. Two years later in 1968 he became a member of AT LAST THE 1958 R&R BAND.
In 1969 he was a founder member of MOTT THE HOOPLE signed to Island , he left the band in 1974 to start
a solo career ; with the MICK RONSON former guitar player with DAVID BOWIE and short time member of MOTT too;
he had a long partnership as IAN HUNTER BAND or HUNTER-RONSON they recorded together till 1990.
In 1993 Ronson had died and Hunter worked (95-97) some time with the CASINO STEEL BAND in Norway.
