Release 1991
Formed out of the ashes from The TROGLODYTES and TEN FEET FIVE, they are renamed
with help from producer, manager and label (PAGE ONE) owner LARRY PAGE (see: Kinks).
After a first 45 for CBS had flopped they where given a song named WILD THING written by
US-Songwriter CHIP TAYLOR which they re-arranged. WILD THING climbed to number 2 in UK
charts and to number 1 in USA, they where successful from 1966 til end of 1967.
In early 1969 they split, only to re-unit one year later.
This time it lasted till 1982. Since 1990 they are back with Britton on the road again.
They recorded a lot of timeless, sometimes laidback Garage-Punk songs, most of them written
by REG PRESLEY.
In 1992 they produced the studio album ATHENS ANDOVER together with some members of
US band R.E.M. (DBs), which are fans from the TROGGS.
WET WET WET had a big hit with LOVE IS ALL AROUND.
