JERRY LEIBER born 1933 a great Bluesfan used his knowledge at work in a Record Shop and
MIKE STOLLER (born 1933) worked as Jazz-Pianist before they met to became a famous
Songwriter - Producer Duo in the early 50s.
After a long time the first biggest and long time successful songs became Kansas City &
Hound Dog recorded by The BEATLES, BIG MAMA THORNTON, ELVIS and and and...
The founded own label SPARK releasing and producing R&B group The ROBINS which became
The COASTERS some years later.
For the R&B label ATLANTIC RECORDS they worked as producers and songwriters with artists
like RUTH BROWN ; DRIFTERS ; BEN E.KING ; LAVERN BAKER or COASTERS to name a few
of the better knowns. They wrote also songs for ELVIS ; DION or PEGGY LEE.
In the 70s it became a little more quiet around them, active for a short time in Great Britain producing
some new bands.
