Band was formed in the early 60s as DAVE DAVANI & D MEN, recording two beat, but already R&B influenced singles
in 1963 and 1964. Next after name change to DAVE DAVANI FOUR in 1965 , was a single with the title melodie for
TV Music-Serie: TOP OF THE POPS which was nearest title to fame. The band now played a danceable mod-jazz-sound
with the hammond organ as lead instrument which was what you can hear on their only album.
In 1966 they released a last 45 in 1967 they even got NICK NEWELL (ex-Zoot Money) in a last lineup.
