Born Patricia Arnold in the States, she came to the UK with IKETTES backing IKE & TINA TURNER.
She was signed by Andrew Loog Oldham for his Immediate label. Her backing group, in her first months
are The NICE. Her first single by end of 66 went nowhere, but with the 2nd single FIRST CUT IS THE DEEPEST
written by CAT STEVENS  (covered by the KOOBAS too)she went into the top 20. She released 3 more singles
and two LPs (1st withdrawn) on Immediate helped & produced by Mick Jagger and Steve Marriott.
She was backed by Chris Farlowe, The Small Faces and Twice As Much  (Dave Skinner) on different recordings.
After a last hit with ANGEL OF THE MORNING in 1968 Immediate went bankrupt and the next two
singles are released on Polydor in 1969 & 1970. She then went into session work.
In the mid 80s she had a comeback with 2 solo singles on Virgin and one with The BEATMASTER 1988 on
Rough Trade.
