1st LP is one of the most influential records in the history of Rock
The HAWKS started from Canada as backing Group for Rock'n Roller RONNIE HAWKINS in the late 50s.
Between 1965 and 1966 they backed BOB DYLAN (when he got electrical )
In 1967 they formed The BAND and recorded the 1st essential LP in the Big Pink Studio.
Their 1st three albums are very recommended.
They split in 1978 the last concert with many well known musicians as guests was filmed,
and released as the LAST WALTZ. They reformed with some new members in 1993.
