Martha Velez (Velez-Johnson) is musically active since the mid 60s working and recording with folk-group The GASLIGHT SINGERS first.
In 1969 she recorded her first solo album - produced by MIKE VERNON for his BLUE HORIZON label in London with
the english Blues-Rock top musicians of the time.
Between 1969 and 1977 she released 5 LPs - remarkable was her 1976 LP with BOB MARLEY whom she visited
in Jamaica , the album was called: ESCAPE FROM BABYLON.
In the 80s and 90s she mainly worked as film & TV actor - in the mid 60s she had already worked as theater actor.
