FORTUNES, The

Rare first album on( wine-red with golden letters) german Decca label and thin cover - near new, great condition.

The band was formed as a trio  with Glen Dale, R. Allen & B.Pritchard, first single release in 1963 on Decca under the
name The Fortunes and the Cliftones. First success with "You've got your Troubles" and " "Here it comes again" all two
singles reached the top ten, followed with first album in the same year. In 1966 the next single "This golden Ring"
reached the Top Twenty, than it became quiet. They changed label to United Artists in 1967 and in 1971 to Capitol.
With Capitol they found back to the  Top Ten in the charts with two 45s  "Freedom Comes, Freedom Go" (1971) and
"Storm in the Teacup" (1972) the following singles went nowhere, but the band is still to find on club  and oldie tours.
