The original Group was formed in 1963 with young (guitar, keyboards) STEVIE WINWOOD who
had a great voice influenced from Ray Charles.
Winwood also wrote most of the songs, he split from the band in early 1967 to form his own group
TRAFFIC. He also worked with BLIND FAITH & AIRFORCE.
At the same time STEVIE's brother Muff also split from the band to work for ISLAND RECORD.
