Sang in the beginning of the 60s in a Duo before forming first band The SHILOHS in 1963,
which lasted till 1965.
His 2nd now ell known band was founded in 1966 : The INTERNATIONAL SUBMARINE BAND;
signed by LEE HAZLEWOOD to his LH label. An album was released in 1968, but GRAM
joined the BYRDS shortly after. After only one LP he left together with CHRIS HILLMEN
to form the FLYING BURRITO BROS, which he left after two critical aclaimed albums.
In 1973 he released his first solo album GP, he had already drug problems and died in
Sept. 1973. The LP GRIEVOUS ANGEL was nearly finished.
