OTIS SPANN (1930-1970) :
Around the mid 50s he worked as studio musician for artist like BO DIDDLEY; HOWLIN WOLF or
CHUCK BERRY. In the late 50s he joined the MUDDY WATERS BAND, which he was a member
till late 60s. From around the mid 60s he recorded Solo too.
Very recommended is his Blue Horizone LP : Biggest Thing Since Colossus
FLEETWOOD MAC :
The original Band formed in the UK and played mainly Bluesrock...they released 3 LPs on the
BLUE HORIZON (M.Vernon) Label, also one compilation LP: PIOUS BIRD OF GOOD OMEN .
They also worked as backing musicians for OTIS SPANN on his Blue Horizon LP.
In 1969 they changed label to REPRISE and one album was recorded.. for me so far their best one.
Around the same time they had three Singles in the UK / Top Ten:
Oh Well ; The Green Manalishi & World In Harmony
After this album PETER GREEN one of the best english Guitarplayers; with a lot of feeling; split for healthy problems.
