The WHO, after Tommy (1970) & Whos Next (1971), now established and one of the most successful
bands of Great Britain - the members had time to record some solo LPs the first was :
JOHN ENTWISTLE
(one of the great unsung bass players) who started with : Smash Your Head Against The Wall in 1971.
PETE TOWNSHEND
Only some months later in 1972, the mastermind and main songwriter of the band PETE TOWNSHEND
had his album: WHO CAME FIRST in the can too. In 1977 he recorded together with ex-Small Faces
RONNIE LANE the LP: Rough Mix. His most active solo time was in the 80s starting with EMPTY GLASS.
ROGER DALTREY
the fabulous lead singer came next with his first solo LP named : DALTREY in 1973. He nearly released
in 2 year distance a new one till end of the 80s... incl. the Sdtr. : McVicar in 1980.
In the 70s he worked with artist like ADAM FAITH ; STEVE GIBBONS or RUSS BALLARD (=Argent).
KEITH MOON
a very special and crazy rock drummer, who worked with ZAPPA (2000 Motels); only had one solo album
released in 1975.
