Janis born 1943 in Texas first Band The WALLER CREEK BOYS.
..she also worked with JORMA KAUKONEN and 13th FLOOR ELEVATORS before
joining BIG BROTHER & THE HOLDING COMPANY, which lasted 2 LPs till late 1968.
First Solo album "I Got Dem Ol Kosmic Blues" released Oct. 1969.
In beginning of 1970 formed new group, The "FULL-TILT BOOGIE BAND" which
lasted till her dead (drug overdose) in Oct.1970.
She had one of the powerfull voices (3 octaves) of the 60s
