Dave (David) Stewart started in the late 60s with URIEL, who became ARZACHEL.
In the beginning of the 70s he was involved together with Steve Hillage in the group
Khan, which only lasted one lonely LP.
His next step was with band EGG playing classical influenced Prog-Rock, with came to
hold after two LPs in 1973. They re-united for another studio album in 1974.
After that he became a founding member of Canterbury Scene group:
HATFIELD & The NORTH - they became well known under mid 70s Jazz-Prog-Rock
fans, and even reached lower parts in the UK charts.... which did not hold them back from
a split after two albums.  In the late 70s he joined another Canterbury band:
NATIONAL HEALTH for three further LPs.
In the early 80s he became a successful solo artist - charting with his singles:
WHAT BECOMES OF THE BROKEN HEARTED featuring  COLIN BLUNSTONE on vocals,
and with the LESLEY GORE cover : ITS MY PARTY together with longtime music partner
BARBARA GASKIN they toped the UK Charts in 1981.
Follow up singles only reached lower parts in the charts and it became quiet around them.
Today they are still recording and touring together.
