Lou Reed and John Cale  (born in Wales) met together in the PRIMITIVES in 1965, Reed worked as a staff writer
for Pickwick and recorded some tracks as the Primitives. John Cale studied music in the USA. ANDY WARHOL
recommended actress and singer German born CHRISTA PAFFGEN = NICO to the group, so together with
Sterlin Morrison & Mo Tucker the band was born. In early 1966 they signed to MGM-Verve, the 1st fabolous LP
only scratched in the higher parts of the charts, not more happened with the 2nd  (White Light...) and 3rd LP.
After some personal changes and a label change to Cotillion the original band broke up, when LOU REED went
solo in 1971.The minimal sound avantgarde Rock influenced many next generation musicians  in the whole world.
Nico died in 1988 the band reformed for a France (Paris) and a German (Hamburg) Gig in 1990.
