Released a first single in 1959 with his group JOHNNY & The JAMMERS in the early 60s formed the BLACK PLAGUE,
which was joined by his brother EDGAR in the late 60s.
He went solo in  1969 his brother  Edgar was involved live and in the studio again and again, but started a own career too .
Other members from his backing group came from the McCOYS, who had some great hits in the 60s.
Johnny Winter did also several recordings with Muddy Waters
