Young ALEX CHILTON started with the BOX TOPS in 1967, they produced many soulful blue eyed
Soul-Pop songs till they split in 1970. Best known for: The Letter or Cry like a Baby.
In 1972 he together with Chris Bell, was a founder member of the unsuccessful but fabulous
Power Pop Band BIG STAR, which lasted till 1975.
He did also some production work to help some newcomers like TAV FALCO etc.
Since 1977 he released many stunning solo albums and was involved in a 90s re-union
of the BOX TOPS . He died in 2010.
