JON HISEMAN
Without Jazzrock inovator GRAHAM BOND (& his Organisation) this music field where not the same.
Hiseman and Heckstall-Smith split from Bond around 1967 or 68 to join John Mayall recording the BARE WIRES
album in 1968, after that they left together with Tony Reeves adding D.Greenslade (ex-Chris Farlowe, Geno) to form
UKs premier progressive jazzrock band COLOSSEUM.
By end of 1971 the band split and was reformed twice and active in the new millenium.
From 1973 till 1974 Hiseman eas the leader of the more rock orientated band TEMPEST recording 2 albums.
COLOSSEUM II (fusion-jazz) followed in 1975 the band was active till 1978 and released 3 LPs.
Hiseman worked with UNITED JAZZ & ROCK ENSEMBLE and WOLFGANG DAUNER in Germany and
played with his wife BARBARA THOMPSON.
