Born in 1943 he started recording in 1968 .
He made the Swamp Blues-Rock (foreruner for Southern Rock) popoular with early
hits like RAINY NIGHT IN GEORGIA (covered by R.Charles) or POLK SALAD ANNIE
(covered by Elvis).
Around 1989 he wrote 4 songs for TINA TURNERs - FOREIGN AFFAIRS album including
the title song and the world wide hit STEAMY WINDOWS, he also toured with her.
