BOND, GRAHAM + PETE BROWN
[Two Heads Are Better Than One (1972) LP-RE]

BOND, GRAHAM + PETE BROWN

Re-Release 2016 -  NEW !!! Factory sealed -

GRAHAM BOND:
Best known as sax player he was a forerider for the mellotron.
Worked with english Jazz groups like Don Rendell before starting his own (jazz-rock)
band the ORGANISATION, which included musicians like JOHN McLAUGHLIN, GINGER
BAKER, DICK HECKSTAL-SMITH, JACK BRUCE or JOHN HISEMAN.
After the split of the ORGANISATION he went to America around 1968 recording there two
Solo LPs, helped by HARVEY MANDEL, when he returned to the UK he joined
GINGER BAKERS AIRFORCE in 1970 ..he put his stamp on the sound.
In 1971 he recorded with his now wife DIANE STEWART on vocals, two afro and eastern
influenced LPs for Vertigo followed by Bond + Brown

PETE BROWN:
English Rock Poet who worked with JACK BRUCE in a Songwriter Team.
He first recorded with  the BATTERED ORNAMENTS incl. Chris Spedding before
forming PIBLOKTO.
In 1972 he recorded together with GRAHAM BOND  the LP TWO HEADS ARE BETTER
THAN ONE, shortly after G.Bond died under mysterious circumstances.
Today P.Brown work and tours sometimes with the HAMBURG BLUES BAND .
He doesn't like his work with PIBLOKTO anymore, but greatly admires his work with  BOND.
His recordings with Battered Ornaments and  PIBLOKTO  are for me among the best
Prog-Rock albums ever.
