Born in England joined first professional band around drummer PETER JAY & THE JAYWALKERS
in 1967, recording one single with them, before going solo produced by Mickie Most..
..the first 45 from 1968 is added her.
First album on EPIC got only an US-Release offered many great powerful covers like
Cher's : BANG BANG etc.
2nd album called Terry Reid in the UK and 'Move Over for...' in the US, again had some
great covers like Donovan's 'Superlungs' or Dylan's 'Highway 61 Revisited' and his own
composition 'Friends' which charted one year later in a coverversion of Liverpool band
The ARRIVAL. He turned down offers from LED ZEPPELIN & DEEP PURPLE to
become their lead singer.
It took over 4 years for the next album recorded with US musicians like D. Lindley the great 'River' .
3 years later the next album in a singer- songwriter vain produced by his old mate GRAHAM NASH
came into the shops, but success was omitted.
His weakest album 'Rogue Waves' in 1978 proved to be his last effort till his return in 1990.
He released the mainstream LP ''The Driver' in 1991. He is touring on and on till today.
