Re-Release 2004 - SACD - Digipak - US Release
One of my 60s favorites... and one of the best and most influencial bands till today.
Starting in 1963 as The RAVENS became the KINKS in 1964, first LPs great 60s R&B, garage-punk like the genial :
"You Really Got Me" , also hear "Milk Cow Blues" (what power). On ballads, they are as good. Music lives with the
the lyrics of RAY DAVIES, telling about the people from his british sight.
The years & releases from 1972 to 1975 shows with many concept LPs the more difficult side of Rays Songs and his
love for acting & theatre.
With the LPs SLEEPWALKER & MISFITS they found the right way, this time more in the Hard-Rock field, with
more success in USA like at home. In the mid 90s came the split.
Ray Davies still records great albums till today.
