ENO became known as a member of Glam-Rock  band ROXY MUSIC with whom he recorded the first two albums.
After that he started a solo career , but did session with musicians from  Can,  Cluster , 801 and King Crimson s - Robert Fripp.
He and Fripp invented Ambient as new music genre.
Eno worked as producer around others with U2.
