Without Jazzrock inovator GRAHAM BOND (& his Organisation) this music field where not the same.
Hiseman and Heckstall-Smith split from Bond around 1967 or 68 to join John Mayall recording the
BARE WIRES album in 1968 (which was very much in the same vain), after that they left together
with Tony Reeves adding D.Greenslade (ex-Chris Farlowe, Geno) to form UKs premier progressive
jazzrock band COLOSSEUM.
End of 1971 the band split and was reformed twice and active in the new millenium.
The album Valentyne Suite was the first LP released on Prog-Rock label  VERTIGO - Swirl
