Born as CHRISTA PAEFFGEN in cologne germany. Learned classical piano and harmonium.
First recordings on, a  folk influenced single on  Adrew Loog Oldhams IMMEDIATE label in 1966.
From 1966 till 1967 she recorded with  The VELVET UNDERGROUND before going solo - mainly produced by John Cale.
She died in Juli 1988 in Ibiza.
