Started as Folkie in 1963  producing 2 LPs in 1964 and 1965, some of the tracks youll find on first Mercury album,
which got released through Mercury to make some money out of the new band YOUNGBLOODS, founded in 1966.
Early on Jesse Colin Young worked in a  folk duo with Jerry Corbitt or sometimes  together with John Sebastian too.

A first album  recorded for Mercury records got a release as the 'Two Trips' LP (see above).
  They signed a recording contract with RCA releasing two LPs produced by Felix Pappalardi, after the 2nd 
album 'Earth Music' Jerry Corbitt leaves the group to go solo.
One last album for RCA  the great "Elephant Mountain" is recorded only with 3 members.
In 1969 they started own label RACOON distributed by Warner Bros. releasing till split in 1972 four further LPs
and some solo projects too. Jesse started Solo again in 1972.
