Joined JEFFERSON AIRPLANE in 1966 as drummer (he never had drummed before).
In 1967 he joined MOBY GRAPE as singer and guitar player, he suffered through drug abuse.
In 1968 he recorded his rough and raw psych masterpiece, not unlike Syd Barretts LPs .
He rejoined MOBY GRAPE often and worked with the DOOBIEs too.
Skip died in early 1999.
