STATUS QUO, The

The group started in the early 60s under the name The SPECTRES  (Three 45 from 1966-67) at this time more
into R&B influenced Beat, they changed name to TRAFFIC JAM for a one off single in 1967.
TRAFFIC JAM singles are released on Vogue, Hit-ton and in USA on PETAL PUSHERS compilations.
A new name change in late 67 now as STATUS QUO  with some nice popsike songs, already the first single
PICTURES OF MATCHSTICK MEN  hit the UK Top 10 in 1967 followed by ICE IN THE SUN in 1968.
1969 was the first year with a slowly start in the 12 Bar Boogie Rock syndrom charting in 1970 with
DOWN THE DUSTPIPE and GERDUNDULA... since PAPER PLANE they did not change in sound, till today.
