One of the first bands with Terry Woods involvement are the Irish Folk Band SWEENEYs MEN which lasted
from 1967 till 1969 and even went more into rock with Henry McCullough on e-guitar. Terry Woods became
a founding member of STEELEYE SPAN but he left together with his wife GAY after the first album, to work
next as shorttime members of DR.STRANGELY STRANGE. Only some months later they recorded one very
rare album as The WOODS BAND (Greenwich Rec GSLP1004.) followed by some great also now rare LPs
as a Folk-Duo for Polydor. Terry joined The POGUES (POGUE MAHONE) in the 80s.
The WOODS BAND reformed around the millenium.
