ZAPPA, FRANK

Release 2002 in an approved Frank Zappa Master from 1993
Frank Zappa - born 1940 together with his schoolmate DON VAN VLIET he founded a first band called the BLACKOUT, back
in the late 50s. Around this time and in the early 60s he wrote songs some recorded by his band The SOUL GIANTS.
In 1966 his new named band MOTHERS OF INVENTION  signed to MGM-Verve and released FREAK OUT (1966), a great
psych influenced double album  (must be one of..if not the first double LP in Rock) produced by Tom Wilson.
This and the following alnums, showed him as a musical forerunner ahead of his time.... mixing psych-rock, Doo-Wop,
orchester-parts, avantgarde uncluding jazz influences toped and garnished by his great guitar playing and with his
special lyrics. In 1969 he established his own label Bizarre - Straight too. Producing and releasing other acts , like
