Born in 1941 gave his Debut as UK RockNRoller in 1959 with the self penned 45 : Maybe Tomorrow (Top 20 Hit)
His whole first album was self penned , so not the BEATLES did start it.
He had one of the greatest Rock N Roll - Ballads voices  in the UK 60s Scene.
..he worked with Joe Brown , The  Four Jays (=Fourmost)  & The Tornados as his backing groups.
His hits stoped after 1965, but he still recorded (now for the Parlophone label) great songs musically
with more Rock- & even psychedelic influences
He died on heart attack on Jan.28, 1983
