Ted Taylor and Bobby Thompson two ex members of the JAMES BOYS SKIFFLE BAND
founded the band in 1960.
Unlike other Liverpool Bands they are more into R&B and Blues.
From mid 1962 on they became one of the main acts in the growing Hamburg Scene,
especially at the Star Club. They became one of the 1st who recorded for the
Ariola-Star Club label in 1963.In the UK they had releases on Decca and Polydor.
Out of contractal problems they had some releases as the SHAKERS on Polydor.
The band changed members very often till their spli in late 1966.
King Size Taylor released 2 solo 45 on Decca and Polydor without success.
So he called it a day only heared in late 1977 again when he sold some old
BEATLES tapes. Since some years he is back on the Hamburg Scene.
