Carole King (= Carol Klein) born 1940, started to write songs with Paul Simon in the late 50s, when she met her
later husband and lyricist GERRY GOFFIN, they began are very successful writing partnership, with Hits for
Little Eve; Bobby Vee; Shirelles and many more.
In 1968 Carol formed her first band The CITY (1 LP on Ode)with Charles Larkey - bass; Jim Gordon - drums
& Danny Kortchmar...with guest James Taylor.
After split of band Carol went solo "Tapestry" her 2nd album was the most successful
